THE 2019 JAMB REGISTRATION; SO FAR A SUCCESS OR FAILURE
The head of media and information for the joint Admissions and matriculation Board (JAMB), Dr. Fabian Benjamin after an interview with the News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN)stated how impressed he was with how well the registration of candidates for its 2019 unified Tertiary matriculation Examination.
According to Dr. Benjamin over 300,000 candidates has been registered for the examination as at Thursday and within the space of a week. The recent development has proven the board competent and committed towards the course of the registration of ready candidates Nationwide. Dr. Benjamin in a statement expressed his joy of a hitch free process so far, saying that there is a tiny gap between the number of candidates that have acquired the e-pin and that of those that have registered.
However, the directives of jamb is that any candidate with issues of biometrics must go over to Abuja for rectification with the Registrar of the board wielding the rights to attend to such issues. Some stakeholders expressed their displeasure ,urging the board to rethink its decision and instead setup special centers in every state of the country to tackle issues. Also, the candidates must also be considered as this could be a rigorous process for them should incase they have such issues since the examination is not only for candidates in Abuja but Nationwide.
