Covenant University holds 17th Inaugural Lecture
The Vice Chancellor, Covenant University and his management team, the lecturers and the students of the university were present to witness the 17th Inaugural lecture on Efficient Data Exchange in Computer Networks: Big Data and Security in the Emerging Smart World, which was given by Professor Samuel Ndueso John, a professor of computer systems and network Engineering of the department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Covenant University.
In his lecture, he spoke on the importance of data as it relates to the evolving technology in today’s world. Professor Samuel Ndueso broke down in tears as he remembered his late mum while giving honor to the woman, whom he now calls his mum today, appreciating her for taking him in and molding him into what he is today.
The Vice Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor A.A.A Atayero, while giving his closing remarks said that “….The topic of today is very important because it speaks to the issues of this continent. If we cannot plan the future of this nation, are we not doomed to repeat the failure of the past?”. Speaking to the students, he said “To the Kings and Queens in Hebron, you are blessed to be in the citadel that is open to the departure from the norms of the past, the future of our great continent depends on you, you have to do better than those that are doing it now….”
